Welcome to LightHouse Clinic

LightHouse Clinic was founded in 2008 by Johannes Thome and Robert DeStefano. Prof. Thome, a Consultant Psychiatrist, and Robert DeStefano, a Consultant Psychotherapist, saw a need for private clinic where adults, couples, and families could access and receive the highest standard of care.

LightHouse Clinic retains its philosophy of providing immediate access to the highest quality of care. The practitioners associated with LightHouse Clinic have been trained to at least Masters level and are highly experienced, some have worked within the NHS Mental Health Services for many years. All are passionate about their work and their clients’ well-being.

Our Team

Robert DeStefano is a UKCP accredited Consultant Psychotherapist.

Robert’s undergraduate degree is in Humanities and Philosophy (Rider, USA).

His psychotherapeutic training began with a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling from University of Wales College at Newport.

Our Philosophy

The LightHouse Clinic is a private, out-patient facility that provides high quality Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling for a wide range of mental health issues. At the LightHouse Clinic, we believe that each person is a unique constellation of experience and heredity. As such, each person requires a therapy that is tailored to their individual needs rather than the ‘one-size fits all’ brand name approach to psychotherapy currently in vogue.

Our Services

There are as many reasons to seek psychotherapy as there are people. At LightHouse Clinic, we treat each person with the respect and care that they deserve, regardless of the nature of their difficulty.

We are as eager and as able to help those with psychiatric and/or psychological ‘diagnosis’ and ‘disorders’ as we are those without.
